How do LOLER certificates help with insurance and liability?
Current LOLER certificates demonstrate that your lifting equipment has been examined by a competent person and met the required standard at that point. Insurers and legal advisers may ask for these records in the event of an incident. Keeping them up to date is straightforward with a regular inspection schedule in place.
What happens if a certificate lapses?
Equipment with a lapsed certificate should technically not be used until a new examination has been carried out. If you have an overdue certificate, contact us and we will arrange a visit as quickly as possible. We will not lecture you — we will simply get it sorted.
